Combination Vehicles CDL Endorsement
This exam is taken by those applicants applying for a Class A New Hampshire CDL. A Class
A New Hampshire CDL is required to operate a combination of vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001
or more pounds provided the GVWR of the vehicle(s) being towed is in excess
of 10,000 pounds GVW, which includes ALL Class "A" license applicants.
Many states require a Class A CDL when pulling any commercial trailer exceeding
10,000 GVWR, regardless of the CGVWR (COMBINED Gross Vehicle Weight Rating).

You must have a Class A New Hampshire CDL to drive "combination" vehicles.
In order to get a Class A New Hampshire Commercial Driver's License, you must pass the
New Hampshire CDL General Knowlwdge written test + the New Hampshire CDL Air Brakes written test
+ the New Hampshire CDL Combination Vehicles written test. You must also pass the three-part
New Hampshire CDL Skills Tests in a "representative" vehicle. You must provide
all required documentation and pay all required fees. Check your specific
