Tank Vehicles (N) CDL Endorsement

tank vehicle, tanker, tank truck, tank endorsement
This exam is taken by only those applicants that require a "N" endorsement ("X" when together with "H") because they are required to drive "tank" vehicles. A "Tank Vehicle" is a vehicle with a tank exceeding 1000 gallons capacity.

The Oregon CDL Tank Vehicles Endorsement can be added to a valid Oregon CDL by simply passing a Tank Vehicle written test and paying the fee. Check your specific Oregon CDL Information for details.

The Oregon CDL Tank Vehicle (N) Endorsement written test study material includes:
  • Oregon CDL Manual - SECTION 8: Tank Vehicle Definition
  • Oregon CDL Manual - SECTION 8: Inspecting Tank Vehicles
  • Oregon CDL Manual - SECTION 8: Driving Tank Vehicles
  • Oregon CDL Manual - SECTION 8: Safe Driving Rules
The Oregon Tank Vehicle (N) Endorsement written test study material is covered in Section 8 of the Free Oregon CDL Handbook (Commercial Driver's License Manual).
